Chambray, Chambray, Chambray! (FINALLY)

I did it! I finally found the perfect chambray dress! I've been looking for months and I found one for $20 at F21 (of course!) I had some major shopping success there recently. And h&m. For now I'm just going to brag about my perfect dress. This is almost exactly what mine looks like.....(I couldn't find an exact photo and I haven't taken full body shots yet (haha, body shots) so this is all you get)

Tah-Dah! I look great in it already huh? lol

I paired it with my favorite pin and I took casual to classy. Its seriously my favorite outfit now. Leggings, boots, this shirt and belt, with my pin! *sigh*

I know you love it and I know you're jealous. Any tips for wearing chambray a different way? Clue me in!

Be Fabulous Friday #5

Maybe one day I'll get some people to actually link up... THAT would make me feel really fabulous. (How'd you like my shameless guilt trip, readers? Did it work?!) Lol jk jk...sorta... Anyways...

1. Write about an accomplishment, daily task, or something exciting that has happened (or will happen) in your life that you deserve some recognition for.
2. If possible, post a picture showing that accomplishment.
3. Copy the "Fabulous Friday" button and place it in your post. Or copy the code and place it in your html.
4. Link up your post here and spread the word!

I'm feeling FABULOUS today because of the sweet notes my students wrote for me. I asked them to write anonymous feedback positive or negative, and all I got back was a stack full of the kindest, sweetest, letters!   Its nice to feel appreciated, especially at work! I just LOVE what I do and I have the best students:)

What makes U feel fabulous?

The Best Popcorn You'll Ever Eat

Last week we had a bake sale to raise money for breast cancer research. After all, it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And I decided to make individually bagged popcorn treats. My favorite easy treat to make. Its a recipe my Aunt Chris gave to my mom and I after having it at a party and craving it for forever! And it was so easy which was super surprising for how delicious it is. You'd think it was a complicated gourmet recipe or something. Oh its so ridiculously good. Anyway here are some pics....

I decided to put them into little muffin papers so they were a little bit more on the cute side and would be less messy. AND I loved the pastel colors. They turned out looking like little popcorn cupcakes and I loved it.

Needless to say, they were a big hit! And I had extras to take to the weekly "girls night" with my neighbors. Here's What you'll need:

2 bags buttered popcorn, popped and dumped out onto a tray covered in wax paper
2 sticks of butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 c karo syrup (light)
bag of white chocolate chips
bag of milk chocolate chips

Cover tray with wax paper, pop popcorn and spread out on pan. Bring butter, sugar and karo syrup to a boil. Boil for 2 and 1/2 minutes then pour over popcorn on the trays. You may need to stir it a little bit to make sure it all gets covered.
*Melt white chocolate first in 30 second intervals on medium heat (in the microwave) and drizzle over the popcorn with a fork
Then melt milk chocolate and repeat.
Let sit and enjoy! mmmmmm

*if you melt the white chocolate first you can use the same container to melt the milk chocolate. If you do it the other way around your white chocolate wont be as pretty, but do what you will!

Let me know if you try it and if you like it!
Happy Wednesday!

The "Always Get Your Man" icure

Yay Mondays!
Not really. Who really likes Mondays anyway... not me. Although it is nice to have a fresh start and a new week! Anyway this week for "Mani Monday" I wanted to do something sexy. I wanted to FEEL sexy. So my manicure is inspired by some sexy lingerie...

Because seriously, it's impossible to not feel sexy when wearing black lace right?

And what man can resist nude and lace? NONE! So here is is, my nude and lace mani. AKA the "Always Get Your Man" icure.

Pick your accent nail, and polish with a matte nude polish. Paint the rest black

Using a toothpick, handpaint a lace inspired design! (I will be trying a different variation of this with actual lace next week!) Mine kind of ended up looking more like a doile. Still sexy though yes?

It turned out pretty much how I wanted and I loved them! Don't you?
