Be Festive Friday! (Fabulous Friday #10)

Its time to be FESTIVE! Can you believe how fast the time is going? I have so much to do still! At least I have this opportunity to show off what I HAVE gotten done. And you too:) share share share!

1. Write about an accomplishment, daily task, or something exciting that has happened (or will happen) in your life that you deserve some recognition for. Remember, make sure it's festive!

 2. If possible, post a picture showing that accomplishment.

3. Copy the "Festive Friday" button and place it in your post. Or copy the code and place it in your html.

 4. Link up your post here and spread the word!

This time of year is full of fun things to do. So many, I couldn't list them all if I tried! But I will tell you one of my very favorite parts about the Holidays. Sending out our xmas cards! Being a photographers wife definitely has its perks. We take our own pictures and design our own cards and bam. Done-zo. Here's a sample from our family photo sesh....

Its my fav from the shoot because it completely catches us in the moment. I think I'm smiling between kisses, and so it looks kind of awkward, but its just a sweet moment I'm glad I caught on film.

This is the one we are actually using on our xmas card....

Is my hubby Tyler talented or what? Check him out at

So back to the link up. Why are you fabulously festive today?

Christmas Candy

Who doesn't love a little Christmas Candy?! You're crazy if you don't! My fav are chocolate covered pretzels. Actually, pretty much chocolate covered anything.

The Snyder Pretzel Sticks are the best for dipping and drizzling;)

If you're like me, melting chocolate over the stove or in the microwave is a disaster. I ALWAYS burn it. So a miniature croc pot will do the trick! Just make sure to stir it frequently so the chocolate on the sides and bottom doesn't burn. Also, Ghiradelli Chocolate is my absolute fav!

I like to use a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to sprinkle on top to add a little sparkle. And of course it tastes amazing.

This year, I decided to try bananas since I've been eating gluten free. They turned out to be really delicious...Until later in the day when they got brown and yucky. So I would advise only making enough to eat right then.

Don't forget to add a little variety. Some people may only like one type of chocolate, or topping, etc. You could roll them in nuts, coconut, sprinkles, whatever you fancy!

Just remember to have fun making them, and enjoy every bite:) And its ok to lick your fingers in the process...:)

I have been blessed with good friends who want to spread the love, and help each others blogs grow. Remember last week when I was featured? Well this week its Kyla's turn to get some love! So without further aduei.....

Hello Sittin Pretty Readers.
I'm Kyla Ford from FordOlogy.

I am a twenty-five year old wife to Kevin and first time mother to sweet baby Hunter.
I love cooking and baking. I am a closet fashionista: meaning; I love to shop, shoes especially, and I have more clothes then I will ever know what to do with but I don't have the guts to share my style with the world.
I am a BIG DYI-er. I enjoy finding old treasures (mostly from garage sales or thrift stores) and turning them into my own. I also love crafting, sewing, building and Pinterest-ing.
I love country music, road trips, Disneyland, and taking photos.
I am addicted to Dr. Pepper, Dove Chocolate, and leopard print.
FordOlogy or The Study of The Fords, was originally started to keep friends and family in California up to date with my little life here in Utah.
Blogging has turned out to be a favorite hobby of mine and I have loved being able to share our story with so many friends, old and new. Writing has always been a passion of mine and I love the freedom I have to write whatever I want, whenever I want in my very own place out there in the big online world.
My favorite feature on my blog has been my Friday Hot Lists. Each Friday (or as often as I can) I choose 6 FAVORITE THINGS (two for each member in our household) and write about them. They are the things that we loved the most that week. From clothes to toys, food and makeup, there have been LOTS of great HOT items talked about.
I am so proud of my little blog. I have enjoyed blogging about all sorts of topics that appeal to more women then just my family reading back home. I have loved the friends I have made through the blogging world and at the end of each day, I hope that my stories somewhere along the way can inspire, encourage or simply bring a smile to some persons life.

Thanks for following along.
