Hello Again

First, I need to apologize for practically being on hiatus the past few months. But I have been dealing with some health issues that I have decided to share with all of you in hopes that I can help others in my situation.

In December I found out I have an auto immune disease called hashimotos. Well, you can imagine my distress upon hearing the words "auto immune disease".  Everything I had previously known about these sort of diseases was pretty daunting and I was scared. After a bit of research and a lot of help from my Dr. I was less scared and more ready to start on my way to wellness.

So along with my regular posts I will be posting about my disease. My successes, disappointments, recipes, good days and bad days. I hope I will be able to offer some help for others with Hashimotos and other thyroid problems  as I help myself and change my lifestyle so I can live better and control my  disease. Instead of letting control me.

Xoxo

  2. Sarah! Your cuz has had Hashimoto's for a few years now and it's a giant pain in the butt, I hope you're doing ok with it. Sounds like you're getting some good treatment though. I've spent years on a quest for someone who understands me and my unique issues related to Hahsimoto's and other hormone issues that stem from that and I've got an amazing team of people. If you ever want to check them out, they're at 'The health spot" in Provo and Sandy. They've changed my life and my blood work keeps getting better and better. There's hope! let me know if you ever need to vent about it :)
